To avoid getting overwhelmed by incoming messages, please be sure to use an email reader that can display messages by thread (or topics). Try Gmail, for example.
Alternatively, you can read the messages neatly organized by topics at the Yahoo Groups website. After logging in, click "Conversations" then "Topics".
We have two groups present on Facebook.
(1) San Francisco Homeschoolers Group is a parallel forum for the general members, especially those who like to use the Facebook platform. The discussions on Facebook may sometimes be more lively as it is more conducive to posting of photos and quick comments. (On the other hand, discussions on Yahoo forum tend to be more detailed and nuanced.) All events mentioned here are also cross-posted on the Yahoo e-mail forum.
(2) SF Homeschoolers Teens Group is specifically set up for discussion of teens-related activities and issues.
Any member interested in joining these groups, please simply send a request to join on the corresponding Facebook pages.
This is our one regular event where members can meet face-to-face and kids have a chance to socialize.
Homeschoolers are invited to meet and play every Monday and Tuesday 12:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at a different city park in San Francisco. Choose the day that works best for you or go to both to meet more people.
Keep in mind that attendance fluctuates from week to week, and season to season. So be sure to get on GroupMe (see next column) to find out how many families are planning to go.
Check our Event Calendar for locations.
Our most efficient way of instant communication, on smart phone or desktop. Most busy on Mondays and Tuesdays during Park Day. This is the best way to find out how many people will attend Park Day on any given day.
